In our world of online education at AiP-OD, it is sometimes easy to think we are in this little

“bubble”

all alone.  That we type into a machine and it responds.  We can forget that on the other side are real people also.  People that are just like us, and yet, very different from us.  People that we can learn from and with. 

It is really important that we get and stay connected.  AiP-OD Photography Department is well aware of this and has made it a high priority to provide opportunities for us as students to meet with other people.  One of these opportunities is through the Photo Live.  Photo Live is a series of online events held through Go To Meeting.  Full time faculty members from the Photography Department run these on different topics.  They are held on Thursdays at 12noon EST and last for one hour. 

Coming up on Thursday we can join Jill P Mott, as she leads a discussion on ways to “Get Connected.”  I should add, this means connected with real people. 

To find the meeting you need to be part of Google Plus.  Then find the PSPN (Photography Students Professional Network).  Here you will find more information on the Live events as well as much, much more.
